Can anyone provide any info on the Pistol match at Palo Alto?

I see there is a pistol match this weekend anone have any details on format, course of fire, etc?

It is conventional targets at 25 yards.  You are welcome to fire 180 rounds with just one pistol like a .22 semi auto or use a .32 or .38 for the center fire match and a .45 for the third match of 60 rounds.  We furnish the targets.  Gate is open between 8:00 and 9:00 am. I'll include he courses.

Dates remaining:    September 28; October 26 all the 4th Saturday.

Rules:             NRA rules for conventional pistol will govern.

Classification:          NRA classification system will be used.

Entry Fees:   $7.00 for cost of tournament which is open to the public.

Course of Fire:  NRA Short Course at 25 yards, 180 rounds, firing starts at 9:00 AM.



Match 1 .22 Slow Fire        

2 .22 Timed Fire

            3 .22 Rapid Fire

            4 .22 Aggregate

 

Match  5 CF Slow Fire       

 6. CF Timed Fire

              7. CF Rapid Fire

              8 CF Aggregate

 

Match 9. 45 Slow Fire

           10. 45 Timed Fire

            11. 45 Rapid Fire

             12. 45 Agg.

 

Match 13 Grand Aggregate

 

 

 



Targets:         B-16 Slow Fire @ 25 yards & B-8 @ 25 yards Timed & Rapid Fire


Directions to the Range: Palo Alto Rifle and Pistol Club is off of LA Highway 943 west of Donaldsonville, Louisiana.


Off of I-10: Take exit #182 west to highway 22 and left on highway 70 at the caution light.  Cross the Sunshine Bridge and continue on Highway 70.  After crossing the railroad tracks bear right on Hwy 3089 into Donaldsonville.


Take LA Highway 308 or LA Highway 1 west out of Donaldsonville 2.5 miles and right on 943, then 3.5 miles to a sharp right and in 200 yards the range gate is on the left.


From Baton Rouge:  Take LA Highway 1 south from Plaquemines about 5 miles.  Turn right just past the sugar mill on Highway 943 and go 2.5 miles where the highway curves left, .25 miles past a grain silo the range gate is on the right.
