01/05/08 FULLBORE PRONE MATCH RESULTS
Saturday’s Fullbore match was a
great success. Shooting two to the mound in changing wind conditions was
a challenge for everyone, but lots and lots of fun. Some of us
had shot fullbore before, and to some it was a new experience, but everyone enjoyed
it! I thought it was one of my most enjoyable days ever
at Palo Alto.
For the most part it was cloudy so mirage wasn’t much of a help, and the wind was generally from the south and
changing in velocity more than direction.
We had sixteen shooters, which made
squadding easy with two shooters on each target and two in the pits.
Three of our shooters >were Juniors, which is always great to
see. David Higgins was high junior with a score of 362-1x. Joe
Mistretta was the winner in the combined Master/Expert class with a
438-16x score, while Bob Jenkins was first in the High Master class, shooting a
nice 443-18x.
Gary Henry was Match Winner. His
score of 446-25x was tops! Congratulations to all the winners and a big
thanks to everyone who came out to shoot the new
format. We hope to have more fullbore matches later in the year.
Next month on Feb 2nd we return to our regular 3x600 format. Hope to
